SurvivalWorks makes videos on wilderness survival and native skills. Our first DVD documentary on winter shelter building will be released in winter, 2009/2010. The upcoming video contains instructional segments on how to build a quince, snow cave, snow pit, snow trench, quince trench, structured snow shelter, and snow teepee. It also shows a real life survival overnight experience with Tim Drake and Dave Hall, of Primitive Pursuits in Ithaca, NY. They are practicing and experimenting with the skills demonstrated in the video. Tim and Dave have been trained by Tom Brown at The Tracker School, and also the Wilderness Awareness School by Jon Young.
